Share-split calculator
Enter the prize and each member’s shares. Shares are whole numbers, so two members with 1 and 2 shares split 1:2. Results round to whole cents and always add up to the prize. Taxes are not estimated here.
Saved data stays in this browser only. Anyone using this device can see it; use Reset on a shared computer. Nothing is sent to our server when you calculate, save or download. A read-only checking endpoint exists at /wp-json/olp/v1/pool/split?prize=1000&shares=1,1,2; using it sends the amounts in the request to our server, so keep private pool details out of it.
Ticket cost check
Verified base prices. Jurisdictions can differ on add-ons; confirm with your state lottery.
| Game | Price per play | Add-on | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Powerball | $2.00 | Power Play +$1.00 | official |
| Mega Millions | $5.00 | built in | official |
Every valid combination has the same chance in a fair draw. More distinct tickets cover more outcomes at proportional cost; no selection method improves any single ticket’s odds.
Ticket list check: duplicates, distinct tickets, coverage and cost
Paste one ticket per line as five main numbers and the special ball, for example 3 17 25 40 61 + 9. Up to 200 lines. The list is checked on our server and not stored; leave out names and anything private.
Pool agreement checklist
A short written agreement, made before the draw, gives everyone the same facts to point to later. This is a practical guide, not legal advice; rules vary by state and employer.
- Name the pool leader and a second person who can verify tickets.
- List every member by name before the draw. No late additions after the purchase deadline.
- Record each member’s contribution and resulting shares (for example $5 = 1 share, $10 = 2 shares).
- State the purchase deadline, the games and draw dates covered, and whether add-ons (Power Play) are bought.
- State how small prizes are handled: roll into the next pool, or split immediately.
- State how the split is rounded (this site: whole cents, leftover cents to the largest remainders).
- State that the leader may personally play separate tickets only if they are kept visibly separate.
- Have every member sign or reply “agreed” to the written terms before the draw.
Ticket record checklist
- Photograph the front of every ticket before the draw, with the date visible, and share the photos with all members.
- Write the pool name on the back of each ticket where the jurisdiction allows signing.
- Keep the originals in one agreed place; note who holds them.
- After the draw, record the official winning numbers from the official site and link the result.
- Check every ticket against the official numbers twice, by two people.
- Keep this record with the agreement until all prizes are claimed and paid out.
